I woke up early this morning and by any chance read some online newspaper, New York TImes and CNN. I was pretty surprised to read several news about the worst riot in decades that took place in France, especially in Paris. Apparently, the riots had came into its 12th day (the police sure got a very hard time). Lets see, the cause of the riots is quite interesting though. A country, no....a powerful country like France might be fallen to riots because some political things, such as government foreign policy, Greenpeace policy, nuclear threat or might be when Marseille lose 10-0 from Club Brugge, Belgium. The fact is none of the above cause turned out to be the catalisator. It was caused by racism and discrimination issue. Honestly, for me...it is a SHOCK, coz I thought there were just the third-world country, like Indonesia, who still deal with this kind of issue. The civil unrest forced the France government to declare state-emergency, for further information, read this article.

The civil unrest in France, for a reason was kind a give me some new discovery. The racism and discrimination issue are not just happened in third-world country, like Indonesia, South Africa, etc. The assimilation between the native and the immigrants which do not work out, will always or might be lead to insatisfaction for each other. I hope the ability of human being to accept others and live with them will increase as the matter of time. Coz if not, France won't be the last civil unrest that happened among big nations. Viva humanity.
